almost ten years later I still think about a girl I used to be with. She was kind and patient and understanding with me when no one else would be. She tried to show interest in things I liked and laughed at my attempts at humor. She was patient with me when I was angry. She spent many long hours drawing pictures of things I liked for my birthday and on the holidays. When I was feeling down she used to make me these little sketches of times we shared together on the back of flashcards to cheer me up.

I never met any other girl that actually cared for me like that and I think about her and miss her every day. I desperately wish I could go back to a time where I had someone like that. I had no idea how lonely I would end up
