I'm in the same place as op so I don't really have any useful advice. I get extremely nervous around the man I like, to the point I've started dreading being around him, but last week we had a fun moment talking about a weird interest I have. I guess you just need to give people enough time and effort and eventually you will find someone you can be weird with.
