The only thing that MGS4 did better than 2 and 3 is its version of Metal Gear Online which was pretty fun even with the Konami ID shit.

Does it have collectibles like the Dog Tags in 2 or the Kerotan and Markhor ranks in 3? No.

Does it have boss rush like 2 and 3? No.

Does it have side modes like Snake Tales in 2 or Snake vs Monkey in 3? No.

I am not saying MGS4 is bad. Its still one of the better (well, only) PS3 games. But its very underwhelming compared to 2 & 3.
