Early on the collection was simply a repackage of the Diamond Commando toyline. But, because Gulliver had the Secret Wars molds, the decision was made to incorporate both the Heroes in Action/ Secret Wars Turbocopter and the Turbocycle in the line. Given their 4 inch scale they paired well with these vehicles. Gulliver continues to rerelease that Mattel Helicopter to this day, sometimes even without figures, and thus many variations of it now exist.

In the 90's Gulliver would once again make use of those Secret Wars molds with their "Future Warriors" collection. The Future Warriors were effectively a 1990's update to Secret Wars. They largely featured new heads but were in effect just an interesting collection of mismatched repaints.
