True of any cultural exchange - people will learn their own lessons, not necessarily the desired ones. As Afghanistan is also a topic, that's a fine example: their youth have picked up an uncanny resemblance to the disaffected rural men so often deployed there - a spiteful love of elite taboos like the national flag, pickup trucks, M-16s and Punisher decals. Definitely not the lessons Washington DC intended!
