Yes, Spirit West is worth it. Has all of the cool magical stuff for the New West, including Indians spirits, gods, monsters, shaman, fetishes and magic items, lore stories, special locations and a few Indian tech items like power armor. It's a cool book, don't know why people would say it's bad. I've used it a lot in my New West game. Even wrote out the magic item tables as random roll ones.
