I wouldn't say it seems bad, some things feel well written and more sensible than what I remember tokyopop writing (read those editions just a few months ago as I own a full set), but I will say that people definitely give those releases a lot of flack when the translation was never that bad and only got better as the series progressed. The only consistent issue is the name changes, I.e Tamura Reiko never changing to Tamiya and being Tamara Rockford all the way through (except for vol.4 where they experimented with calling her Tamura but then revert back in the next vol) Mitsuo being Lonwell (lol) Satomi being Sara, etc. Then some names remain unchanged like Kana's which feels confused.

But overall they're very good, uncensored releases if you can get past the mirroring
