in middle school I told some black kid making fun of my mom to go back to the cotton fields and everyone freaked out and no one talked to me for the rest of middle and high school because I was racist
no one talked to me before then either because I am autistic
i remember the white girl teacher who heard me looked really freaked out when she was telling me what i said was wrong
