With tthe only other story receiving the same statement as the epilouge of Higurashi being Kokoroiyashi-hen which ends with hanyuu literally still around as Rika gets older, a canon official alternative epilouge for the story written fully by Ryukishi himself, contradicting with Gou.

Even better that she absolutly refuses to believe that Keiichi would harm her and believes it to be a demon taking the form of the one she loves most before killing her, which is why she demands the demon to return Keiichi to her as her final words to it before shoving it off the bridge.
Face it, Without Gou Satorika wouldn't have jack shit to stand on with there being ZERO romantic hints or moments in the VN or in any other alternative squeals that Satoko has a inkling of romantic feelings towards Rika as it has always been directed towards Keiichi
