That's literally every game made after Half-Life.

Incorrect.
STALKER has stellar gunplay, with plenty of character between early / low-end weapons and late / hi-end gear, creating a superb pseudo-RPG-like progression that is tied to the equipment, not some artificial roadblocks like story beats or levels.
Mastering the bullet drop and nailing headshots at hundreds of meters feels super satisfying, and just like we already established 18 years ago on /v/, anyone crying about "inaccurate" weapons in STALKER never beat the Bandit camp at the very start of the game.
Thus, their opinion belongs in the bin.
