ok you got me thinking. is there a big difference between rigid fork (just standard, unknown fork, nothing luxurious or prestigious) vs same standard for suspension fork, but the suspension is locked?
you're right that I don't always use the suspension. sometimes I lock it. sometimes I use it (if I know those roads are uncomfortable). but I don't get the notion that you guys are so into rigid fork, when you can just lock the front fork and it'll act like one.
the common ones for commuters/beginners in my country are not just MTB but fixed gears and touring models too. previously I had this and I enjoyed it. like I didn't have to sell it and buy the MTB at all if not for the constant shocks and bump, for having to avoid potholes at all time OR when I want to ride on the sidewalk without feeling like my bike will break.
