Maybe they would be if they had back and shoulder weapons like NEXTs, could use repair kits, had a little more health, and dodged more. The ekdromoi is the mecha that got me into liking RJ legs as someone who mains bipedals.
Anyway arquebus modded some HCs, LCs and a balteus so it should be possible. The rifles would probably be turned into back weapons since LCs/HCs are taller than ACs.
