It's really simple.

First there no mandated training daily. Why would there be?
Second it's a job where most of it you're sitting and doing nothing.
Third you're usually in the middle of nowhere and you'll eat the worst food imaginable.
Fourth you deal with the scum of society and this leads to physiological problems and stress that lead to eating to make yourself happy.
