there was an exploit in Deezer (Spotify competitor thing) where people figured out how to just make a free account and download FLAC albums. fuck the old days of private trackers + CD rips: this just fetched lossless audio files with perfect metadata/cover art/everything
then devs made these open-source apps/clients to stream/download from Deezer without the official software. the company DID patch the free FLAC thing, then fixed the exploit entirely ;_;
regret not just downloading more albums while i had the chance. not a crime, is it? Deezer Inc. were giving them to us.
