The X legion had an equally difficult battle in the east against their own Hunnic opponent, made all the more dire by the enemy's complement of onagers pelting the infantry as they approached. In the end, however, Sextus Lentulus did manage to annihilate the easterners, keeping Dalmatia safe for the moment. One threat does remain to the south, however. The Magyar hordes, defensive allies of the Huns, lay siege to the independent city of Dyrrachium. Should they end the siege, either in victory or defeat, they are sure to turn their covetous gazes northwards. Lentulus now intends to march south to a point where the province's border may be better defended. (3/5)
Also slight correction for the previous post: It was the I and XXX legions fighting Huns in Rhaetia, as the XXII was still marching southwards at the time.
