This took way longer to finish then I expected. I actually wanted this for last thread.

>It was a pleasant summer day as Spike anxiously sat in a train headed for Canterlot.

>The reason for his sour mood was because of what happened before this trip:
>He had recently got into trouble with Twilight and, after a fight, she made him send a letter to her parents. After some back and forth, he was scheduled for a train ride to the capital with strict instructions to visit them.
>Obviously he was in a great deal of trouble to warrant such a response. Twilight was still mad when she was seeing him off in Ponyville.
>Who knows what her parents will be like?

>He looked out the window and sighed.
>The young dragon had a good idea of what was coming.
>Twilight never really had the will to punish him in more… severe ways, but her parents had no such reservations.
>Not to say that the two were strict disciplinarians, but on the rare occasions when they saw fit to punish, rumps were not spared.
>The train seats were pretty comfortable right now, but he couldn’t help but wonder if that would still be true on the way back home.
>The thought of it almost made him cry. What stopped him from doing so was the other passengers.
>Though his twiddling thumbs and squirming tail did little to hide his nervousness.

>Ponyville was very close to Canterlot, the two settlements being in viewing distance.
>Too close for Spike, as the train arrived much earlier than he would have liked.
>When it stopped, Spike solemnly grabbed his backpack, which contained a few basic things since he was staying overnight, and made his way to his possible (certain) doom.

>Being raised in Canterlot for much of his early years, he knew this section of the city like the back of his claw.
>He and Twilight had made regular visits to her parents back when they lived in the tower, and he did live with them prior so he knew the route.
>Similarly to the train ride, he was disappointed by how fast he managed to make it to his oldest home.
>He took a deep breath then knocked.

>The door opened and a stallion’s head poked out.
>He looked down and smiled. “Spike!” He then looked back. “Honey, he’s here!”
>He was soon let in and got a hug from Twilight Velvet.
>”Oh, you two don’t visit enough.”
>”Uh, sorry.” Spike said awkwardly.
>”You’ll need to talk to Twilight about that, but anyhow, you must be starving! I made dinner.”
>Spike was herded to the dining room.
