I really like the synthetic PS1 soundtrack, it's just classic. I really like the way you get a lot of dialogue on every single field with your party members. It's really really good, it makes even just one small section of the game packed with individual characterization. I also really like how you can immediately just start talking to the demons during battle, choosing the different combinations of party members and showcasing relationships. I think the depth of these other Command systems that aren't battle that are actually tied into Arcana and the deeper psychological concepts behind the series is something I want to see in a new game, big time. I really like that demons are just attacking you in the school. I really like that you can leave the school and go wherever else, despite being in the middle of a story mission. The world itself feels dangerous/alive. I also really, really like how characters move around the field in battle. It's so cool to choose your turn order, and then see Tatsuya jump forward to slice and push the enemy back slightly, and then seeing Lisa jump in front of him to follow up. That roleplaying dynamic that can be created on the fly through the spacing on the field and through the turn order is nice. Persona 3/4/5 really are much different in their concept with the more traditional 4 niggas and cinematic camera cuts.

This game is doing a good job of setting up the world and the actual core ideas that the systems are built around as well as making them grounded and realistic. Joker just stares off into the distance to go to the Velvet Room? Here, your party members accompany you inside the Velvet Room. There are many, many things here that just make more sense for an actual, grounded story
