>Why do people want the Persona games to be in college?
Twitter, Resetera, and Reddit "fans". They first played Persona 4 or Persona 5. They're obsessed with the world revolving around them. This type of bandwagoner phenomenon is common not just in games but in real life like sports or the music band clout chasing groupie. If you're in the age group the game's writing will strike a bigger chord with you. You play Persona 3/4 when you were in high school or college and it probably meant a lot to you. Or maybe you didn't like them, but you must agree that for people in that age group those games definitely resonated more because they were in that age. There's no problem playing them as you're older, but they definitely won't leave that same impression you felt as a young adult.
Resetera/Twitter/Reddit are full of HRT trannies and homosexuals who want to deny younger generations that same experirence, they need Persona/whateverIP at the moment to gravitate towards them and only them. It's quite selfish but they don't have the capacity to recognize this. It's why they're on HRT, mentally unstable Resetera. I consider myself pretty pragmatic, while I would like Persona also to move past high school (as they did in Persona 2 duology with older party members), I fully respect and recognize that Gen Z and Gen Alpha will one day appreciate having their own high school Persona games.

Nothing more to add. This is the Holy Gospel of Resetera/Reddit/Twitter when it comes to wishlisthing ideas for ATLUS and Persona.

It's ironic because some of the women being lusted over are the older women like the doctor, the teacher, the prosecutor, and the fortune teller. I don't even know why they feel the need to grandstand about this, all the Persona 3-4-5 girls are adults when the game ends lol. The Persona 3 staff are all literally adults in the Persona 4 timeline including the spinoff games like Arena have them all working adults.
