A lot of fine details, perhaps oddly, often make it harder to get a clean transition, since at a certain point it effectively just becomes white noise for the machine. All the more pronounced, unfortunately, when we're going to be introducing color, since that necessitates higher denoise, but I kinda don't think this one would have survived too well regardless.
