But it's not his own hyping up, it's other people who are hyping him. Including Demon Lords who should know both the strength of Satan and Lucifer since they fought in the rebellion.
Also, it's pretty much just the angelic power. Priest-kun can win against Satan because he has angelic power and Satan needed to weaken him before fighting him. And Satan only wins against other demon lords because of the sword, otherwise he couldn't beat Leviathan (and Beelzebub seems to be pretty carefree about Satan's agenda but respects Lucifer a lot more). Lucifer wields angelic power, so he can win against Satan too.
