Have you forgotten how the giants with Ginbak travelled the entire distance they were with Gori to Ginbak and then brought him to Jachi in a few minutes at most and all on base? I actually calculated the distance using the map and the time it would take the giants to reach the human city. That would require them to travel 17 times faster than sound.
Now ONE may not have calculated it but he certainly knows that this would require them to travel very fast at least.
And we saw a small giant make this giant leap and cover all that distance instantly and easily without picking up any momentum at the base.
