Bootlickers generally can't fight him for one simple reason:

Obviously, people are going to side with the guy whose speech aligns with what they're seeing. It's like the phenomenon in politics, where a leftist talks about how diversity is good, but people go out on the street and see a lot of diversity destroying their community. It's impossible to win someone's sympathy without first adjusting your discourse to at least align with what people's senses are detecting.
In other words, the guys opposed to that fag from Thread Interactive should first admit that Unreal Engine games run like crap and look like shit, and only after this basic acknowledgment of reality, should they point out what's wrong with his speech. But look how the guys who oppose him are literally stereotypes of liberals, and liberals are incapable of making this kind of concession because their morality is tied to socio-political opinions that cannot be confronted, otherwise they become "Nazis". So to maintain consistency, they prefer to ignore reality, even when it comes to rendering fucking video games.
