I must've overlooked the lines about Kanako being Ceroba's daughter or something because I legitimately thought Ceroba was a teen for a long time and was like "aw Clover x Ceroba seems like a cute ship, especially when they go on their adventure together with all the steamworks shenanigans". It really didn't help that her outfit made her seem a lot younger
