It was my 2nd time there, and I was less focused on going on everything and prioritized what I wanted to ride most. I didn't get a ride on The Beast this year, but I thought it was a solid ride last year. The layout makes no sense, but I thought the whole idea of just blindly racing through the woods was pretty exciting. It didn't feel particularly rough, but maybe that's because I currently have Hades 360 as my current high water mark for woodie roughness. Viper at my home park SFGAm felt rougher than The Beast last year. I didn't get on Racer this year, but it was butter smooth last year. Adventure Express was the best mine train I've been on so far, even with that silly themed lift hill into the station. My wife has a soft spot for Arrow suspended coasters, so The Bat is easily her favorite. Also, Orion feels like it's absolutely hauling this year, and I personally put it above Diamondback because of that.
Holiday World was a lot of fun, but you may have to temper your expectations if The Beast was too rough for you. Raven was in pretty bad shape and had a nasty pothole on one of its turns, but the rest of the coasters ran fine. Legend has the most bizarre layout I've ever experienced on a wood coaster. It was just nonstop turns with crazy laterals for days. You're just constantly being yanked to the side of the car for the whole ride. Thunderbird is now easily my current favorite wing coaster, mostly because I just really liked the launch due to it being a particularly hot day. Good Gravy was cute and was completely carried by its theming, but all the paths and the playground near it having misting fans everywhere felt amazing. Lastly, Voyage was incredible and instantly shot up to my favorite wood coaster. Huge floater hills going out, followed by a terrain-hugging twister turnaround, then a triple-down and constant airtime hills weaving in and out of the ride's structure. To top it off, the track was in solid condition and had no real rough patches.
