And why not? The "good route" will require us to let go and relinquish control, to willingly allow the world to continue on without us and for the NPCs to live in peace after they've finished using our power for their benefit.
The "evil route" will involve us punishing them for their hubris. We'll steal the reigns right out from under them and deliver their world into a nightmare far worse than anything they could have ever imagined, all because they were foolish enough to attempt to summon and contain something powerful beyond their comprehension.
Evil route will require the strength to forge ahead through increasingly difficult borderline impossible hurdles put in place to keep us contained. The good route will require the strength necessary to let go, give up control, and accept that there are things we were not meant to change even if we technically have the power to do so. That sounds pretty in line with the whole Theodore Foxington theme to me.
