To be brutally honest, that's mostly a sign of impotence in search of a scapegoat. Like those concerns are not "wrong" but a lot of whites like to think of themselves as good, civilized, law-abiding citizens and therefore expect the police to handle their situations for them. One problem with this is that lower level, "illegitimate" violence -- the fear factor that gradually makes other groups the owners of public spaces in more and more places -- eventually trumps the higher level, "legitimate" violence. The police can't be everywhere and they're slow to react, and changing who the president is hardly has an effect. It's cultural. It's how one reacts to low-level violence, like a shove, a slap, or a punch.

Israel has actually had this problem. On the whole, Israel Jews are tougher than us, but more and more Jews have been working office jobs rather than being farm kids, and they were growing soft. Arab teens in Israel don't work those jobs, so the same stuff began happening like you see in Europe, which turns into viral TikTok videos of some Arab kids pummeling Jewish kids on the street or at a waterpark in an ISRAELI city, and Arabs everywhere see that and think: the Jews are weak.

American Jews are also having this problem because many of them react to antisemitism in this squishy, self-dehumanizing way that pleads with the antisemite. "You're making us feel unsafe." People don't respect that so it makes their situation worse. But there have been other cases where protesters went directly into a Jewish neighborhood like Pico-Robertson in L.A. and got beat up and never came back. The Soviets used to say to the Arabs : "Comrades! You can do whatever you want and we've got your back, but listen: that thin sliver of territory over there along the coast, between the river and the sea? Don't mess with those people because they are completely and totally in-saaaaaaaaane." (That's the rep you want to cultivate if you wish to survive in the Middle East.)
