Not entirely. a good air force is a powerful tool but theres tons of backroom work that has to be done. the plane taking off and hitting its tarrget is just the end result of a very long, complex kill chain and real time C4ISTR.

You have way more details than I do. But I read a history of the IDF (which is quite critical of it) and from the beginning they tried to make things themselves. It has always been important for them. They can't make everything, but they tried to manufacture one major weapon system themselves. They've struggled with fighter planes, but the idea they're wholly dependent on the U.S. is not the case. They also secured a niche selling arms to all kinds of crazy countries during the Cold War at a lower price point than the U.S. because Israeli labor costs were lower.

But you can't actually win a war with air power alone. I think we know that. Iran got raped by israel, but iran is still there.
And I think it's reasonable to just keep doing this sort of thing to iran every 5-10 years just to set them back more and more. It won't "defeat" them though, and it won't decisively "win" a war.
