I've only ever used Douk-Douk, but I hear Otter's K55K is really solid and that people love the locking mechanism. Really want to get one someday.
Douk-Douk doesn't have a locking mechanism. Instead, they use what was described in the 1920's as a "strong backspring," and it absolutely feels like it. It's the strongest backspring friction-folder I've ever had. Never thought I would like it so much, but it's my personal favorite now. Full hollow-grind, XC75 carbon steel, it's just perfect for everything and it cuts like a razor.
