Nice quads.
>Wanted to thank you for the more civilized part of the discussion but you're acting as a drama queen again
It's simple: you acknowledge my arguments and engage in good faith, I answer politely. You nitpick and cope, while being unable to provide a more compelling theory, I call you a faggot and wish death on your family.
>Yep, I vaguely remember something about AMC, will read up on it later.
Make it a bundle and add in Peugeot's 505 taxis and Citroën's wankel engine so you can enjoy the full course of "french manufacturers getting cocky and failing".
>I was expecting to find something like "they spend X on advertising regular cars, Y on cuckovers, and Z on trucks"
This is internal corporate information. I tried to find anything but it's either behind paywall or straight up not available to the public.
>I'm not so sure because it's hard to separate them
Yes I agree and that's my point regarding France: here actual SUVs are still too expensive for most, so crossovers are basically lifted hatchbacks with the same anemic engines, sold at a premium, because "muh offroad muh adventure muh association with SUVs". When I saw fucking Dacia make a killing selling shitty bloated cuckboxes for wannabes I knew it had nothing to do with offroading.
>I don't get why this is a bad thing though.
This is just a plain rip-off. Corporations using marketing to bend the wants of the clientele to what makes them the most money, consequences be damned. Fuck them and fuck their profits.
>Also don't think government regulation here will make things better for regular people.
It's not in my habits, but at this point I wouldn't mind a tax based on vehicle weight.
