Yeah, those are just the generic 'everyone has these' ones. Every location has its own local stuff for sure. Where I grew up, it was La Llorona and a desolate road with ghosts, monsters, and murders called Proctor Valley Road.
I actually really love those local legends. I always find them interesting as hell.
