Threadly reminder: the US government created Bitcoin. They were talking about creating cryptocurrency as early as 1996 and that’s on the public record. Yeah, money with a chain of title is NOT something that can be anonymous. Not to government and law enforcement anyway.

Are there any other examples reclusive inventors who have entrusted strangers on the internet to implement their discovery? I can’t think of any. US gov created a the legend of a fake Japanese guy because they know young people love video games and Japanese cartoons, and distrust US gov agencies.
