I don't think Tamers would do that and i wouldn't want him too personally. Tamers Glimmy should be like a Team Rocket character that will periodically come back to fuck with the main cast.

Also, Glimmy didn't take over the protag role in FiM. The Mane 6 still got many more roles and episodes dedicated to them than she did.
