Thanks for the self-own, lmao. That screenshot just confirms what I've been screaming into the void for weeks: Infinity Castle is NOT Mugen Train 2.0, no matter how many cope posts the dickriders pump out.
¥17.6B (~$120M) after 17 days is objectively strong, but it's not unprecedented or insane. It's par for the course with a popular IP. The same metric would've had Mugen Train past ¥20B already by this point.
And the phrase "fastest to ¥10B" is such transparent PR bait it's hilarious. It only happened because of the hyper-stacked opening weekend (national holiday + IMAX blitz + anime finale hype), not actual legs that Mugen Train had. Mugen Train made ¥15B in 10 days, while Infinity Castle took nearly three weeks to get to ¥17.6B. That's not the same trajectory, not even close.
>B-But what about Boku no Pico Academia!!
Deflection 101. You're not even defending Infinity Castle anymore, you're just asking me to move the goalposts for you. I never once brought up My Hero, and I'm not "anti-anime", I'm just doing what analysts do: measuring performance. And by that measure, Infinity Castle:
>Opened massive
>Burned most of its fuel early
>Showing much weaker hold week-to-week
>Chasing a benchmark it's not likely to match
So nah, I'm not "coping." I'm literally stating data-backed, market-relevant facts while third world dickriders are clinging to opening day glory like it’s gospel.
