ToE uses 5e? You mean Fifth Edition D&D? because I don't think ToE is close to any Dungeons and Dragons game. I'm not sure what you mean by Renegade's game being more approachable for new players. Because Tails of Equestria is already written for little girls, the large RPG market of little girls. But no I can't find the Renegade books, I only found the ToE books from /mlp/ desuarchive. But the "e20 system" I don't know why we need these universal systems. It takes a very short time to create a "system" specific for what game your making.
You just have that one page of the PDF? I can see in that page it mentions levels and healing spells. I thought we were past levels now, we're going backwards, levels should not be in pen and paper games. Just use experience points directly to increase stats or the die type roll itself, and needed when learning a new spell. Or Whatever kind of way you want to do it, levels are very unnecessary. "4th level 19th level spells" I know Trixie says she's the highest level unicorn, but I don't think she meant in some game mechanic way. Game mechanics are part of the roleplay they should fit the theme.
And see, my idea is to have ponies with Food cutie marks capable of making food that can restore energy, and ponies with a medical cutie mark that can heal. That feels more MLP to me, and maybe that's a thing in their game too. A healing spell yeah I guess you'd probably have a healing spell, it would be something you have to learn from a special rare magic book, you know the way Twilight learns spells. But just looking at these pages I just can tell it's overly complicated and not very MLP like, I think. If people like it that's great.
So thank you for showing me that, I would still like to read the book. I just like creating these games anyway so I was just posting about that.
