He's kinda wrong though. Salvation isn't a birthright.
God doesn't choose His people. People who choose Him (by following Jesus) and *those* are the people who are promised salvation.
May be a nit-pick but 'the devil's in the details'; the gates of Heaven are open to all who would call Christ their savior.

It literally isn't. It's was never meant as anything more than a means of teaching the Bible in a consistent way and to explain to the laity how Jesus could be both mortal and divine. The trinity is justified, rationalized, via Scripture but then, so was Arianism and Gnosticism and, later, Protestantism.
