speaking of the vessel, one of my favorite things to come from the fangame scene for Deltarune is the implication that the SOUL actually wanted to be friends with Kris and everyone in Hometown, including the Dark World
it's just that because you had literally 0 way to do so (despite going through all the effort to make said Vessel), your only option was to try and do it with Kris, even with the downsides of having him harbor the SOUL
