That isn't true at all, though. Of all the interactions he's had in-game, only Kris doesn't like him (because he's fucking their mom). But so far we've seen him be friendly with Toriel and familiar with Asgore. Susie, so far, seems to be playing the straightman to his jokes, maybe she also has some disdain for him because of the side of Toriel he brought out but that's just speculation. The game is only half done, this interpersonal relationship shit with Sans is going to be resolved the same way Chapter 1's ending just had Kris eating the pie instead of killing everyone in hometown. Characters coming into conflict with eachother for the sake of a satisfactory resolution is just normal storytelling

How was it stolen? It's playing to supplement the mood after the revelations that Kris, Susie, and Ralsei experienced and what it might mean for their futures. It's a song for the place that Sans was trying to get back to, a song to make you wonder why, exactly, Sans cares about Hometown so much, what his history with it is, and why he was seemingly so depressed about not being able to return to it despite being a newcomer to the town as of Chapter 1. It's more of a "shit has changed irrevocably" theme than a "Susie is sad" one, there's a lot going on in the story by that point and Susie is only a part of it. The idea that Toby hates Sans seems to be flawed reasoning on your end, if he hated Sans (the character that's based on one his brother made when they were younger) so many of UT/DR's mysteries wouldn't be directly related to him. I don't think anyone who believes DR Sans is an example of an author's contempt has actually experienced a story where the author genuinely hates one of their own characters, nor do I think authors hating their own characters is as common a phenomenon as /v/ makes it out to be

I predict Toby will have the Weird Route end at Chapter 5 to solve something he toyed with in Undertale. When a new chapter comes out, I like to play the regular route first, since that's the "intended" route and the Weird Route will have references that make more sense if you've played the normal one first. But, then I have the problem that, somewhere in the back of my mind, it feels "wrong" to end on the evil route, even though I logically know that makes no sense. By having 6 and 7 only playable on the normal route, Toby makes sure the average player is guaranteed to end with the "good" ending as their last taste of Deltarune.
He exploited this in UT by having post-Genocide Pacifist be a corrupted evil ending, but he's aiming for an overall good vibe to DR's ending (outside of any bittersweetness the ending may contain, of course)

There's a lot of points where you can ask the same question.
I've come to this conclusion:
Who controls Kris during cutscenes? Do you do it? Do you tip-tap on your keyboard during cutscenes and pull off all those sick moves Kris does? When you select an option, do you personally direct Kris in the way that he acts? Do you choose the specific inflection that he speaks with? The volume? The cadence?

Were you the one holding right and sliding across the couch towards Noelle during that whole scene?

Or, is it more like whenever you're around, Kris follows your script? Not your control. If you could control Kris, you could probably do a lot of crazy shit because you have an insane amount of otherworldly knowledge he doesn't have (maybe). But you're stuck to a script. Scripted actions. Scripted dialogue. As a player. You do scripted things. And Kris follows that script.

Think of the hand-washing scene. Imagine if that scene wasn't interrupted with Kris tugging you out and going to slash the tires. You could put the scene like this:
