Good question, its frown upon, but I think there are tons of polyamorous people in every society as well. Then we have to get into a weird philosophical discussion on whether the perspective of casual sex with people is objectively/inherently bad or just subjectively wrong.. or I guess "vanilla" in this case. There are probably other things frown upon in other societies as well that we would still consider "vanilla" like.. sodomy if both people involved were consensual in the act.

True, but its kinda impossible to know how often or how long it'd last based on the ending. Considering every person involved in this scenario is still genuinely supportive of each others lives I'd wager they wouldn't do it pass breaking the family dynamic up. Altho technically there is "some" degradation by the end because she says family is less important than sex, tho truthfully she was probably in a sexual stupor/afterglow, if she "truly" didn't care she wouldn't be hiding at the end.
