I haven't even read the manga, but since you've been making such a fuss about it for days, I can understand the premise.
"A mediocre man with no particular qualities convinces a girl to hang around him by renting her out, basically with this narrative stratagem the entire first part of the romantic relationships is skipped, that is":
1. Finding a girl in some random lucky circumstance
2. Managing to approach her without being immediately arrested for harassment
3. Managing to somehow attract her

yeah, these three parts are, especially in the West, a real stumbling block. I can guess that the next expectation is that the boy finally manages to make himself known to this girl. She notices his qualities and fall in love, something that would never have happened without the rented part, because the girl would never have given him a chance.

AND INSTEAD NOPE... (Lol)
I don't know the rest of the story, but the money premise is a big red flag and even if the ending is actually them getting together, it's a questionable way to start a relationship.
Oh wait... isn't this the same incipt of Pretty Woman?
