I believe all of the broken optics in that one original test of the SCAR were indeed Walmart and .22 optics which had no business being put onto any infantry rifle.

As for Colt, they're apparently not all out of the game yet, CZ presumably got them co-operating with Northrop-Grumman on a modern precision grenade launcher, similar to those which Barrett, FN Herstal, and Rheinmetall are working on. I don't have high hopes for nu-Colt, but I guess we'll see.
