I want to make a space mecha game but I'm not really sure of the higher gameplay loop. Mission structure with handmade missions feels a bit outdated but at the same time it makes the most sense for such a game. Is it enough to have your usual exterminate, search and destroy, capture type objectives sprinkled in missions with a couple unique events here and there when the mission calls for it.
