The Frankenstein monster is still a murderer. He didn’t have to involve Victor’s loved ones in his rage and list for vengeance. They did him no wrong and were no threat to him
Victor is, ultimately, responsible for his Adam to some degree. As he created him, he also failed to nurture him. However in real life we do not excuse murderers simply because they were raised poorly. Even if you had a horrible father, that doesn’t give you an excuse to murder other people. Your father’s hands are not clean but in the end you are culpable for your own actions. This is doubly so since the creature eventually gains intelligence and possesses a conscience.
