How could I forget the peak of this character type with the American nightmare himself?- aptly named because he is the American nightmare- an entitled white guy who thinks he’s owed the world because he exists- guy shows up with blonde hair and a suit and now he’s supposed to win the belt- because? His dad was fat and wore polka dots? How on earth did this captivate so many people?- again as a black man. I couldn’t have cared less about Cody’s story and Roman’s was far more enthralling- the family drama with the bloodline and the fact he was actually rejected by the crowd for years and finally started winning them over was more interesting to me- can anyone explain what made Cody’s “story” so good? Because I didn’t think there was one to begin with
