I seriously don't know what are you talking about now and I replayed SR2 fairly recently.
If you told me SR3 and IV I would've had agreed with you because It's true that SR3 was the start of the decline into being like Rick and Morty reddit humor but SR2 and SR took itself seriously when not doing activities, which was the point I made early, the devs thought the funny silly shit from activities was the draw and threw the gangster drama part out of the window trying to find an identity that made people stop saying it's just another GTA clone.
