But putting that aside, they actually have other reasons as well. And I think the main one is, much like they strive to ensure a healthy population exists for their own flock, they also want to help others keep a steady pace for their kind as well. They don't want Human Women to be at risk of going extinct or facing a similar crisis that they had to go through, much less Humans as a whole, so it goes beyond just helping to make sure Human Couples still get together, they try to protect Humanity in general. If you talk to some of the couples in Happiness Village towards the end of Part 2, some of the Harpies reveal that their village has sworn to fight to protect Humanity no matter what happens.
Reina's original lines translate to

which better expresses the sympathy she and the others have for them while still acknowledging humanity's importance for her people as well, but the overall meaning is still the same I think. Harpies and Humanity live in harmony, and they don't want to upset that balance.

I think one of the Harpies also mentions that keeping the gene pool more diverse will benefit both of their species in the long run as well (hence why the Women are equally important to them on a pragmatic level too), but I can't remember where I saw that since it didn't come from Reina and need to track it down.
