Everyone here likes to blame Steve Jobs for ruining everything, but in reality he was the only guy in the entire industry pushing for aesthetics in the service of functionality. If it wasn't for the aesthetic design by the original Macintosh team in 1984 and the rest of the industry copying them, computers would never have become as functional as they did. Since he died, we've seen nothing but pure non-stop regression.
