I just don't think there was any point in remaking games that already HAD the perfect "remake" back in the day, anon. Emerald improved on Ruby and Sapphire in every way minus the fact you couldn't catch Surskit, Lunatone, and Zangoose.
I'm okay with being locked out of Roselia.
Like ORAS did nothing that majorly ADDS to the experience or setting of Hoenn in any major way the same way the remakes of Red and Blue did with the Sevii Islands and the various mechanics introduced like the Fame Checker.
All ORAS has is a vastly uglier artstyle showcasing remixed versions of stuff you've seen before while removing the things you remembered the best, like The Abandoned Ship, Mirage Tower, The Battle Frontier... When you're trying to measure up to what came before, at least try to MATCH it before you claim victory.
