I still cannot believe BDSP (Or the rest of the mainline switch games) are being sold for $60. Expect the switch 2 games to be sold at $70-$80 without much of an increase in quality.
Legends ZA will probably be a solid addition to the franchise but will still have a lot of wasted potential; Hand that game to any of the inhouse Nintendo developers with an additional year of development and you'd have the best 3D Pokemon game so far.

BDSP respects DP to a fault, it doesn't stray from the blueprint whatsoever except for including 15 years of QoL in an otherwise completely faithful remake. as remakes and remasters go it's fine, its only flaw exists outside itself in that people expected more of it - which is insane to me because it was the sister release of PLA, a game obviously meant to fill the niche of the big ambitious sinnoh return people were expecting. together they make an excellent pair, a completely faithful no bullshit remake and an ambitious yet respectful and heartfelt revisit to the region which coexist with one another perfectly.

I always viewed BDSP as more of a port than anything else. It's cool since it gave people who didn't play gen IV an opportunity to experience Sinnoh, while those who did could skip it without consequence. PLA doesn't seem to me like it was meant to have the same kind of role as ORAS or HGSS as a remake. It's a completely different story which is only heavily references DPPt because it happens in the same region. It uses DPPt as a basis, but it's a completely different experience.
