>>CDDA, Project Zomboid (zombies are not my cup of tea desu)
>>Dwarf Fortress adventure mode, Caves of Qud (one of the first people that finished 1.0 in classic)
>>DCSS, Red Rogue (excellent, free underrated gem), Pixel Dungeon, Tales of Maj Eyal
>Also played Noita (kino game), Faster than Light (kino), Streets of Rogue 1 (kino), Spelunky (meh), Enter the Gungeon (slop)
>Also watched Binding of Isaac and ADOM gameplay because I didn't care enough to play them. There might be some more I've played and forgotten about.
HERE IT IS FAGGOT
NO I WON'T PLAY ROGUE/ANGBAND/NETHACK, I DON'T CARE ABOUT ROGUELIKES THAT MUCH, I PREFER RPGs.
My problem with roguelikes is that they are essentially wiki games with RNG. It comes down to you doing multiple runs, learning more about the metagame from your experiences, but primarily the wiki and forums and eventually your winrate chance will be high enough that you will be able to win despite most RNG rolls.
You could probably replace every roguelike with a quiz of 100 multiple choice questions on game mechanics, and a button that uses your score as the probability to display a 'You Win!' text.
I'm also not autistic enough to care about winning with "challenge races"/"challenge kits" or whatever. I'd rather work than do that.
PS: I AM FORMALLY REQUESTING PERMISSION FROM /VRPG/ TO STOP PLAYING AND CARING ABOUT RPGs FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I HAVE PLAYED WHAT IS WORTH PLAYING, I AM A CERTIFIED RPG CONNOISSEUR.
