It's such a ridiculously versatile mould isnt it? In its complete form it just radiates vietnam war era military grit. But once its stripped of the missile launchers, turret platform, and nose art it has such a cutesy dinky look to it.
Looking back on the Heroes in Action line is pretty fascinating too. The actual characters were all largely static and limited to about 3 poa a figure. They also had a shitload of other vehicles in the collection Im surprised Mattel never tried to get more mileage out of.
>Brazillian Dinosaucers
Verbatim yes. For some reason Sony buried the series. Galoob made figures for the cartoon back in the day but a series of complications led to Brasil being the only country to actually manufacture those toys. Thus they're incredible rare and sought after now.
One day, completely out of the blue, a newbie toy company by the name of Show Toys came out with these. Before the Dinonauts they largely just produced baby dolls and roleplay items. So you can imagine how much of a surprise these guys were back in 2022. Since then the fervor has died down considerably but Im still pretty in love with them. I just wish it didnt cost so much to import the fucking things.
I've also noticed the Brazillians have this love affair with HUGE toys. Another major manufacturer down there specializes exclusively in these jumbo recreations of pop culture characters, usually made out of soft plastic snd vinyl, that I cant help but balk at. They're very affordable for the size that they are.
